Herd immunity and how health choices affect those around you

The widespread adoption of vaccinations of multiple illnesses has saved countless lives over the ages. While vaccinations has helped greatly reduce disease, disability and death worldwide and the benefits ensures the general population to live a healthier life, there is still much to be done when it comes to addressing negative perceptions.

Misguided safety concerns in some countries have led to a decline in vaccination coverage, consequently resulting in the re-emergence of infectious diseases such as measles. The general public needs to be involved so as to be better in mobilising and delivering of immunisation services to the wider community.
